The Sport of Hot Air Ballooning
Ballooning is a weather-dependent sport. Flights take place at sunrise and up to two hours before sunset. Winds must be within permissable limits and there must be no precipitation in the immediate area. The decision to fly is made by the pilot based on information provided by the National Weather Service and other weather reporting stations.

Corporate Sponsorship
The goal of corporate sponsorship is name recognition-to get your name out to the public. It has been said that everyone likes balloons because of their shape. A balloon can serve a number of useful advertising and marketing purposes. Very few people can ignore the sight of a six-story balloon displaying your corporate logo. By flying or tethering the balloon at community events, blossom and harvest festivals, conventions, agricultural shows and other industry events, the sponsor can receive unsurpassed attention.

A tethered hot air balloon at your company function can create the excitement that nothing else can. Tethers are done in the early mornings or late afternoons, usually for up to two or three hours.

Our experience
Windjammer Balloons was established in 1992 to provide safe and fun hot air balloon experiences throughout South Central Pennsylvania. Since then we have flown hundreds of passengers in this region and at festivals in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, West Virginia, Florida, Virginia and New Jersey. We have also been hired by many local organizations to provide corporate services.

Cost
Our rate is $175 per person (over age 12) for a one-hour flight. From May 1 to October 15 we schedule flights 7 days a week. We fly 1 ½ to 2 hours before sunset every day, and at sunrise on Saturdays and Sundays. From October 15 to May 1, we fly Saturdays and Sundays only.

Our Commitment to the Community
We believe that our ability to fly is a gift from God. Because of that, we believe in giving back to our community. We support the Junior League of Harrisburg, UCP Central PA, and the York area churches. We worked with an assisted living community to grant the dream of a terminally ill resident.
